Tires/WheelsTire/Tube Installation | $6.00
Have a flat tire? Our mechanics will find the cause of the flat and replace the tube or tire (cost of parts not included). Wheel True | $20.00 If your wheel is looking wobbly, you'll probably need this repair. A true (straight & round) wheel makes for a safer, smoother ride. Spoke Replacement | $25.00 Spoke replacement and wheel truing is included in this labor charge. Hub Adjust | $15.00 Tight or loose hubs significantly interfere with a smooth and efficient ride. Proper adjustment will allow your wheel to spin freely without wiggling side to side. Drive TrainFront/Rear Derailleur Adjust | $14.00 Having issues switching gears? The most common cause is your derailleurs or shifters being out of adjustment. Labor includes replacing cables/housing (parts not included). Chain Installation | $7.00 If your chain is rusty or severely worn, it's time for a new one! Cassette/Freewheel Replacement | $7.00 The teeth on the cogs of your cassette or freewheel wear down with use over time. A replacement is usually recommended with the replacement of a severely worn chain since these components wear out together. Bottom Bracket Adjust | $14.00 The bottom bracket is the spindle and bearing system that mounts to your frame and links the crank arms attached to your pedals. Proper adjustment will allow you to spin your pedals smoothly and efficiently without any side to side movement. |
Handlebars/Steering
Headset Adjustment | $12.00
The headset is the bearing system in your frame that allows your handlebars to turn the front wheel. If properly adjusted, your handlebars should turn smoothly without any rocking when you apply the front brakes. Bar Tape Installation | $15.00 Is the tape on your handlebars unraveling, torn, or ratty? Labor includes removing old tape, cleaning bars, and installing fresh new tape. Tune-UpsQuick/Safety | $30-40.00
The safety tune-up is common for new department store bikes. This price covers minor adjustments needed to make the bike safe and functional. Basic | $65.00 The basic tune-up is the most common; it entails adjustment of all the moving parts. A tune-up is recommended once a year if you're a frequent rider. Deluxe | $100.00 The deluxe tune up includes everything listed in the basic tune-up with a drive-train cleaning. Drive-train components are removed, thoroughly cleaned, and lubricated. Complete | $160.00 This top of the line tune-up includes everything from the deluxe tune-up, plus a complete overhaul of all the bearings systems (hubs, headset, and bottom bracket). |

Used and restored parts are available upon request. Used parts in combination with the above services can keep repair costs down for those on a budget. Pricing of these parts is determined at the discretion of Venture North employees. All parts are inspected for functionality before sales and all used part sales are final, nonexchangeable and nonrefundable.
